Janelle lives in rural Southern Saskatchewan where she farms with her husband, Justin. Together, they take on a mixed cattle and grain farm and a sizeable vegetable garden.

Growing up in a compassionate, close and chaotic family, Janelle has an immense passion for taking care of others. Her upbringing naturally ingrained the importance of family, friends and community. This love of family spilled over to her career, as she developed her practice to serve and protect her clients' families above all else. She understands humble beginnings and connects personally to shoe-string budget seasons. Her goal is to guide her clients through the confusing and intimidating financial industry to a place of comfort, ease and confidence as they grow their knowledge and empower their family against financial hardship. With this, she believes that families, farming and finance could not be woven together more tightly.

Background

Previously a Ticketed RSE Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Janelle knows the value of a dollar hard earned. Sweat-equity means so much more, and those who haven't felt the ache of hard work may not be able to relate. Janelle has the background experience of boots-on-the-ground to connect with her hardworking clients and knows the stress of farming first hand...everyday.

Originally from Southern Alberta, Janelle grew up in agriculture, participating wholeheartedly in two 4-H Clubs, American Quarter Horse Association breed shows, and her family's guiding and outfitting business in Kananaskis. She then went on to Chair the Millarville Youth Fair Committee, volunteer for Turner Valley Fire Department and was a final round qualifier three years running for Calgary Stampede Royalty. She served two years as a Calgary Stampede Princess through Covid-19 where her tenacious passion for community, agriculture and western spirit shone through. Knowing the ranching and farming community are her home, she is still highly involved with the Calgary Stampede Horse Safety Committee and the Queens' Alumni Committee. Here in Sasky, Janelle is a new volunteer to Kinetic Exhibition Park, presenting at their "Discover the Farm" kids agriculture Safety Days and as a judge and committee volunteer for the Frontier Days Ambassador program. She still loves to giveback to the 4-H community as a public speaking judge and clinician.
